Moved out of the old house with the hell spawn landlords. (Woo!)
Done with certain individuals who were nothing but trouble. (Woo!)
Moved into an incredible new apartment. (Was a pain getting all the furniture up the stairs but WOO!)
Been working at Gamestop again. (Employee discount!)
Playing through InFAMOUS. (Excellent game!)
Fianlly got internet in the apt!

Alright. I'm not explaining this again.
Since the start of this new year our landlord have moved into the house below us and been harassing us on about a weekly basis. The first time was understandable, we had the music a bit loud, we turned it down. About 10 minutes after that our second landlord comes to the door. (We have two landlords. They live together. Both male. One understanding, one a hothead) The second landlord doesn't ask, just demands we turn the music down. Calls us various names and curses.
We comply.
We get about 6 or 7 more of these complaints from then till now. Each time he isn't so much complaining as he is threatening us and cursing us out and not letting us get a word in. These times we were not being loud, the music was a reasonable level.
A time after these complaints we were all asleep or doing homework quietly. It's about 1am. He rings the doorbell and is furious. He can hear bass from upstairs and it's so loud and this is the last straw.
This landlord likes to call parents and lie about our behavior. According to him one of us is a drug addict, one of us has vandalized a car and property, we're rude, and dangerous. According to him I wont amount to anything because of my attitude. Right.
So the 21st of April. One of our roommates caused an accidental fire on our back porch. His wicker basket ashtray had caught fire, dumb move, yes. Well he disposed of the remains in the trash on our back porch. Badder move apparently. That caught on fire and none of us noticed for quite some time.
We swing into action, putting this fire out with pots and pans full of water. Meanwhile our landlord is standing at the porch, while the fire is still blazing. He's not helping us, he's screaming at us. We're assholes and irresponsible and evicted and so on and so forth. WHILE WE'RE TRYING TO PUT OUT THE FIRE.
No help. Nothing.
He repeats the same things over and over again until the fire is out. The fire goes out and the fire department arrives. They come and inspect and seem to regard it as not a big deal. While they are inspecting our landlord decides to repeat that we're assholes and evicted again in front of the fire department. Trying to impress them I guess?
Not much damage is done the porch. In fact, it's about all cosmetic.
But no. We're being evicted? And that's the story. |

Agh. I haven't been able to focus at all lately. I get pumped to do stuff(art & homework mostly) but then an hour or so goes by and it's gone and I end up avoiding the things I have to do or just sit in front of them for hours.
Maybe I'm intimidated? I don't know what it is, but I need to focus. I need to be confident. I want to stop feeling like a loser whenever I produce shitty or no work at all.
Why can't I make myself do this? |

So I'm driving home from work at around 8:30. My car is parked where it usually is. (near the hospital next to Norris Hall, for those in the know)
About 5 minutes into the drive from home I get a call from my folks. I'm thinking this is nothing out of the ordinary. So I answer it.
They want to know where the hell I've been and blah blah blah. I'm like, "uh...work?" They proceed to tell me that they just got a call from my car's dealership because detectives have contacted the dealership. These detectives were investigating to see if my car was stolen.
They asked my parents if I, a man with a full beard, curly hair and glasses, was their son. My folks were freaking because they thought I was in an accident or some such shit. But no, my car was parked there since about 1pm. Perhaps it looked suspicious because it was the only one parked there for a while. It was when I got there at 8:30pm. Does that mean they were watching me then? When I got in?
Or were they watching me all day? All week? How long has this been going on? Anyway. Scary stuff.
So yeah, my folks told 'em it was me and everything seems to be cleared up for the most part. I don't know if I should be glad because maybe the cops are looking out for us or mad because maybe the cops could be doing something a little better with their time.
